I stopped at 2 Rummage Sales and a new Resale store in our town. 

The first sale I bought the

and the next sale I didn't buy anything.  They wanted $2 for a run of the mill Mr. Potatohead.  I offered a $1 and they would take it...  So I left empty handed.

Then I went to the new resale shop

And the Hook Rug Yarn is from St Vinnies.. I stopped there too.  They had a Oster Ice cream/yogurt maker which I want so I can make sugar free ~ fat free frozen yogurt.  The maker was unmarked so I took it up to the check out to see what they wanted for it.  They checked to see if it worked and then said $5!!  I was shocked because none of their small appliances are over $3 but since I wanted it they said $5.  You should have seen this..  it was filthy, it needed a lot of deep cleaned.  Ummm  no they can keep it.  I politely said no.  They seemed happy to keep it...  I wonder if that was his reason...  he wanted it?

Anyway I was very happy with my small haul.  The new resale shop has a ton of clothes and cheap.  I'm stopping back tomorrow with my daughter.  $4 for name brand jeans...  she will be in heaven.

Thursdays Rummage Sale Finds

Well no pictures because I only bought a small tub of Lincoln Logs and a Halloween Electric candle.  I can't express how lousy the sales were.  There were plenty of sales but about half were sales that I attended at least once already this season.  It's frustrating to realize the address is a sale that I had been to already a few weeks ago.  And then the new sales were price high very high.  I don't get it but thats their loss of sales and time.  I some times leave the sale thinking what will they say about their sale at the end of the day.  Will they realize their mistake of pricing things to high.  They then turn around and donate all the items?  Some people get totally offended by offers.  Today I was listening to a seller refuse a reasonable offer on a dresser.  The buyer said does it have sentential value and the seller says yes.  So what the buyer is saying to me really doesn't want to sell the item.  This was the same seller that had a chair in a bag priced $20!!!  I was totally shocked because Menards has them on sale often for $9.99.  It wasn't anything special.  Oh well I hope she isn't to upset to pack most of these item back up after the sale.  

So yeah I didn't purchase must so what I really found today was frustration!

Tomorrow there aren't many new sales listed.  Last week there weren't any sales because of the Labor Day weekend, so I thought there would be more this weekend.  We are running out of weekends  before Rummage Sale season is over...

Again the heat is affecting the sales.  There was about 10 sales for the day and only one for tomorrow.  So again I probably won't be going.  The temp is about mid 90's.  I got a call late this morning that I have to work tonight.  Man the heat of the kitchen and the dining room air conditioning isn't working properly it's going to be a long night.  But with the heat we should be busy because people don't want to cook...  So thats good.
